Neurodiversity-Affirming Meditation Class

Date: Every Tuesday

Time: 7:30-8pm EST

Teacher: Heather Zak

Join us for a short guided meditation designed to help you explore mindfulness in a way that works with your brain, not against it. This class is open to everyone, whether you’re new to meditation or have an established practice.

What to expect:

  • I will begin the class with a brief introduction of the theme.

  • Then I will guide us through a 20 minute meditation.

  • After the meditation, there will be an opportunity to share your experience with the group. Sharing is always optional, and there is never any pressure to participate.

 

A few things to know:

  • You can keep your camera on or off.

  • Join the session from wherever you feel most comfortable, whether that’s your bed, a chair, or a cushion.

  • You’re welcome to have any comfort items nearby, such as a fidget or sensory aid, stuffed animal, or blanket. Feel free to use them at any point during the meditation.

Liability Release Form:

The instructor of this class, Heather Zak, is a certified yoga teacher who is continuing her education to become a neurodiversity-affirming yoga therapist. This meditation class series is part of the practicum for her yoga therapy certification. The liability release form below is a requirement for the practicum, and should only take about a minute to complete. This form does not need to be submitted every week - just before your first class.
